How it works
For a fully taxable Australian sale at 10%, GST is one tenth of the exclusive price or one eleventh of the inclusive price. This arithmetic does not decide registration, eligibility, exemptions or tax-invoice compliance. Check the ATO guidance for your circumstances.
Example and practical tip
An exclusive amount of 100 becomes 110. An inclusive amount of 110 contains 10 GST.
