A business description should help a visitor understand what you do, whether it is relevant to them and what they can do next. Specific, supportable details are more useful than a string of superlatives.

Start with four facts

Write down your name, what you make or do, who it is for and the practical benefit. For example, a fictional maker might write: “River Studio repairs everyday wooden furniture for local households, with a focus on extending the life of useful pieces.” The example describes work; it does not invent awards, customer numbers or guaranteed outcomes.

Try the business description tool to turn your facts into a structured draft. Its template output is not an AI claim. For AI-assisted editing, work with Spacey and review the resulting text before using it.

Add evidence and boundaries

Explain the services you actually provide, your service area if you want it public, and any important exclusions. If you mention qualifications, experience or a result, make sure you can substantiate it. Avoid claiming a physical office where you only work remotely. Do not borrow testimonials or imply endorsement.

Make a short version for a bio

A profile bio needs less detail than your Space. Keep the core activity and audience, then choose one next step. “Furniture repairs for local households. View examples and ask about your project” tells readers more than “Passionate about excellence”. Check the destination platform’s character limit rather than relying on a universal length.

Read it as a new visitor

Ask someone unfamiliar with your work to explain your offer back to you. If they cannot identify the service or next step, simplify the wording. Read it aloud, remove repeated ideas and replace jargon that your customers do not use.

Put the finished description in your Space, then add relevant examples and a suitable contact or booking destination. A clear description helps people and search systems understand the page, but it does not guarantee rankings or AI citations.
